Arrived in Mexico

I escaped Colorado just in time. I rode through the snow in the mountains and almost got frostbite on my fingers. Passed through Grand Junction, Moab, and Flagstaff to eventually land in Phoenix.

In Phoenix I spent 6 days with college friends and my girlfriend who flew out to meet me. I enjoyed my last moments in the states before leaving the country for the longest time I ever have.

I sit here writing at a coffee shop in Puerto Penasco, Mexico (Rocky Point). This is my fourth time here. It is a familiar place I would visit on my long weekends in college to get away.

Mexico is literally a polar opposite to where I began in Alaska just four months ago. This is where the fun begins... and the challenges of course. My first Latin American country of the journey. I couldn't be more excited, but at the same time a bit nervous. It would honestly be weird if I didn't feel a little tension alone in a foreign place. So many unknowns ahead of me. Anything could happen in the next 6 months.

Its time to brush up on my spanish, spend time with the Lord, and drink a cerveza on the beach before my first volunteer project next week in Tijuana.

In Tijuana I will be building houses with Homes For Hope. I am excited to serve people and use my life for the good of others!

Bendiciones,

Blessings,

Aiden
